Ebony Knew She Was Going To Die ─ Manager Reveals

Days after the demise of the late dancehall queen, Priscila Poku Kwarteng, aka Ebony Reigns, several thought-provoking ‘revelations’ surrounding her death keep popping up from various sources.

One of such interesting ‘revelations’ comes from her manager, Ricky Nana Agyemang, popularly known as ‘Bullet’, who revealed that the artiste knew she was going to die at the peak of her career.

Speaking in an interview with Abeiku Santana on Okay FM on Monday, the Chief Executive Officer of Rufftown Records said Ebony confided in him, when they first met, that a prophetess she encountered at a prayer meeting told her she would become a star through him (Bullet), but would die at her peak.

“My daughter, you will become a very big star, but you will die at your peak”, the unnamed prophetess reportedly told Ebony in Twi. The Prophetess then asked the then 17-year-old girl whether she knew Ruff and Smooth, the ‘swagger’ musicians, to which Ebony responded in the affirmative, adding that she even liked their songs,” he disclosed.

According to him, he together with Ebony, did everything possible about the prophecy, but expressed regret that in their search for help, he forgot to ask Ebony to try and locate the said Prophetess.

“We cancelled a lot of shows because of Ebony’s death prophecies. We did everything possible to prevent her death but God knows best,” he stressed.

When asked if he was aware of any discussions between the late Ebony and Zylofone Media, he said no and further debunked allegations made by Nana Appiah Mensah that the late songstress had to settle management of Rufftown Records with some $100,000 as a bail-out fee.

According to him, Ebony was approached by only two record labels, Konvict and Universal records.

The manager also debunked rumours to the effect that the late songstress was a lesbian.

“People should stop judging Ebony. She was never a lesbian. You don’t judge a book by its cover. Ebony was a good girl, people don’t know her,” he lamented.

Priscilla Poku-Kwarteng died in a car crash five days ago on the Accra-Sunyani highway.

Preparations are underway for the one-week celebration of the late songstress. The event, which is expected to attract thousands of her fans, is scheduled for Sunday, February 18, 2018 at the Martin De Porress School at Dansoman in Accra.
