EC sets June 17 for limited voters’ registration

The Electoral Commission of Ghana has announced readiness to commence the Limited Voters Registration Exercise.

According to the Commission, the exercise is expected to take off on Monday, June 17, 2019 and end on on Sunday, July 7, 2019.

This follows the dismissal of a motion for interlocutory injunction seeking to restrain the Commission from undertaking the scheduled exercise.

“The Electoral Commission announces for the information of the general public that the Limited Voters Registration Exercise will now take place from Monday, 17th June 2019 to Sunday, 7th July 2019,” a statement signed by the Chairperson for the EC, Jean Mensah said.

The statement further indicated that, the limited voters’ registration will take place in all District Offices of the Commission and designated Electoral Areas/centres throughout the country.
