EC suspends replacement of voter ID exercise

The Electoral Commission of Ghana has temporarily suspended the issuance of replacement of voter Identification cards at its district offices.

According to the Commission, this is to allow for proper organisation of the district voter management system, ahead of the Online Limited Voters Registration exercise.

A statement from the Electoral Commission dated August 23, 2018 said a new date for the resumption of the ID card replacement services will be announced in due course.

In addition, it said the Commission regrets any inconvenience the suspension may cause anyone.
