The Electricity Company of Ghana in the Volta Region has donated assorted items worth hundreds of Cedis to cured Lepers in Ho.
The items, which include; bags of maize, rice, beans, gari, vegetable cooking oil and toiletries, were to mark the Christmas festivities.
Mr Joseph M. Forson, the Regional General Manager, said the gesture was to show love to the less privileged and assured the inmates of the continued support of the management and staff of ECG.
He appealed to family members of the inmates not to abandon their relatives to the mercy of benevolent organizations.
Mr Nelson Attipoe, Caretaker of the Village, who received the items appealed for such supports, especially during festive seasons to extend the celebrations to the inmates.
“These gestures often bring excitement to the inmates…they contribute to making life better for them.”
