The Energy Commission has announced the appointment of the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) as an interim operator of electricity in Ghana.
Following the suspension of Power Distribution Services’ (PDS) concession agreement by government on Tuesday, the Energy Commission said the appointment was in accordance with Clause 27 of the electricity sale license issued to the PDS.
A statement, signed by the Board of the Energy Commission on Wednesday, said “the decision of the Commission is based on the validity of the said license becoming impaired.”
