EDMUND KYEI, has been heavily tipped to win the upcoming New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Elections in the Asokwa Constituency in Kumasi.
The Asokwa seat is currently being occupied by Madam Patricia Appiagyei aka ‘Mama Pat, who is seeking a fourth term in office.
Reports being picked from the constituency now in indicated that Edmund Kyei is currently leading the race as he is the delegates favourite.
Virtually, 70 percent of the delegates have embraced Edmund Kyei’s campaign message and proper plans to transform Asokwa.
Edmund Kyei’s campaign message is centered on five pillars, including scholarships, employment, digitized welfare and empowerment.
The fifth and last pillar is ‘Kyei health care’, which is aimed at improving the health condition of the people in the Asokwa Constituency.
Credible reports indicated that the Asokwa NPP delegates, who are the kingmakers, see Edmund Kyei’s vision as the best for the constituency.
According to the delegates, the constituency has not experienced any significant improvement in terms of development in the last 12 years.
The delegates laid the blame of the lack of development in the area at the doorstep of Mama Pat, who they described as non-performing.
In this regard, the delegates have vowed to vote massively for Edmund Kyei to lead the NPP to retain the Asokwa seat and also lead the area into prosperity.
