Edmund Kyei Wins Asokwa NPP Race
…Starts Nana 2020 Campaign
Outspoken Communicator of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Ashanti Region, Edmund Kyei has been elected as the First Vice Chairman of the party in the Asokwa Constituency in the Ashanti region.
Mr. Kyei polled 425 votes to grab the top party position when the Constituency held its primary elections on Saturday to pick new executives to steer the affairs of the party.
It was all joy at the election venue when Edmundo, who is a dyed-in-the-wool member of the party, was declared winner of the elections.
Speaking with THE PUBLISHER after the elections, Kyei thanked the delegates for voting massively for him and assured that he would never let them down.
He promised to use his new position to campaign vigorously so that President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo would be retained as president on the ticket of the ruling NPP in 2020 with ease.
According to him, he would do everything possible to unite the party so that the NPP would be stronger in the constituency than ever before.
Edmundo, who campaigned on the welfare of party members, assured that he would create a Health Endowment Fund at Asokwa to help cater for the health needs of members of the party, adding that he would also initiate roles to secure jobs for the delegates.
He declared that the campaign for election 2020 had started at Asokwa and urged party members to begin one-on-one campaign with people they meet.
Edmund Kyei is the immediate-past Asokwa Constituency NPP Communication Director and played instrumental roles during the 2016 electioneering campaign period, which brought the party into power.
