A final-year student of Effiduase Secondary/Commercial School, in the Ashanti region, has been stabbed dead by some unknown people.
According to reports, Derrick Adjei, the deceased, was seen at the school premises on Wednesday night lying on the ground, and bleeding profusely.
His colleague students reported rushed him to the school proprietor’s house, who also conveyed him to the hospital for treatment.
Unfortunately, Adjei was pronounced dead upon arrival at the hospital.
Some of the students, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said they suspected that Derrick might have been stabbed by some hoodlums, who usually hang around the school.
They said Derrick and another student, both borders, went outside the school campus to watch football. Few minutes later, they said they saw him (Derrick) lying on the ground inside the school campus as he bled profusely, crying for help.
Meanwhile, in an interview on Nhyira FM, ACP Asante, of the Effiduase Divisional Police Command, confirmed the death of the student.
According to him, the stabbing incident occurred around 7:30pm on Wednesday, adding that the police are investigating the matter.
