Effutu library projects take shape

The Effutu Constituency in the Central Region can currently boast of 13 fully-furnished and functioning libraries all funded by the Member of Parliament, Alexander Afenyo-Markin.

It is a rare achievement for one Constituency to have 13 functioning libraries evenly shared among all the electoral areas with a creative community based strategy that gets students and pupils to maximize the use of the facilities.

The projects recently won the public commendation of Ghana’s President Akufo-Addo when he was unveiling a library project in Accra.

“I must commend too, the Deputy Majority Leader in Parliament and the Member of Parliament for Effutu Constituency, the Honourable Alexander Afenyo-Markin who has constructed, furnished and handed over 13 library facilities to the Ghana Library Authority” President Akufo-Addo noted
