The Presidential Candidate of the Liberal Party of Ghana, (LPG), Kofi Akpaloo says the electorates are fed up with the governments of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and New Patriotic Party (NPP).
He said the unanimous message from the electorates ahead of the December polls is geared towards a shift from the two parties.
In the view of the LPG funder, the electorates are fed up with NPP and NDC, a reason his party is well poised to win the December polls.
He stated that an LPG government will mobilize and motivate Ghanaians to invest and most especially put the Ghanaian first irrespective of their political affiliation.
The LPG’s 2020 Presidential Candidate speaking in an exclusive interview with THE NEW PUBLISHER in Accra stated that his government when given the nod in the December polls would institute a robust tax administration that would plug all tax leakages into individual pockets and organize the Ghanaian economy.
The Professional Accountant disclosed that job creation, wealth creation, child benefits, unemployment benefits and income support, reduction of maternal deaths, construction of women hospitals in each District among others are his topmost priorities as an incoming president.
He said the LPG has the answers to the problems of this country, adding that “we will turn things around when given the nod; we will fix road networks to reduce accidents, make tertiary education free, build housing for slum dwellers, build a chocolate factory to add value to the Ghana’s raw cocoa beans and build poultry industry to supply the protein need of the west African sub-region.”
Touching on campaign in the COVID season, Mr. Akpaloo was emphatic that the pandemic has been a blessing to the smaller parties in the country including the LPG.
“COVID 19 has come to even help us the smaller parties because, in a way we are all campaigning on a level playing field; the big parties are not having big rallies or do anything extraordinary to prove your worth. Now it’s all about the message, you go to the people and talk to them about your message…” the LPG Founder noted.
The businessman indicated that the party is set to field a total of 121 Parliamentary Candidates in what he described as “some targeted constituencies” in the country.
These constituencies include Bongo, Bawku Central, Bolga East, Binduri, Garu and others in the Upper East and West, Volta North and Western North Constituencies.
Sharing his views on the controversial new voters register, Mr. Akpaloo argued that compiling a new voter’s roll is in order.
“It’s necessary to have voters register, the six new additional regions has made it necessary because of the architectural design of the country…”he said.
