Elmina Sharks To Sack Players
Bankroller of Elmina Sharks, Dr. Paa Kwesi Nduom, has hinted of a possible overhaul of his team, ahead of next season.
According to him, players who failed to live up to expectation during last season would be axed.
Dr. Nduom, who is the owner of the Elmina-based team, however, failed to mention names of possible players to be sacked from the team.
“Any player that could not live up to expectation during the just-ended season will not be part of Elmina Sharks next season. It is the policy of management that only players that impressed during the last season would be maintained in the coming season”, he said.
According to him, the technical team had been tasked to select only players that qualify to be part of the team coming season.
Nduom explained that management had taken proper care of players, therefore they (players) had no excuse not to shine.
“We give them enticing bonuses and also make sure that their welfare is properly taken care of so ideally they are expected to perform”.
His comments, observers opined, could bring anxiety into the team since the playing body, as of now, is not aware of those on their way out.
