Elyasadh Foundation Donates To Widows, Aged
The Elyasadh Foundation has donated assorted items to over three hundred widows and aged in Dansoman, Shiabu, Glefe and its environs in the Ablekuma West Constituency.
The gesture forms part of the Foundation’s commitment to put smiles on the faces of the underprivileged people during the X’Mas season.
The donation, worth millions of Cedis saw the beneficiaries taking away sacks of rice, oil, canned tomatoes and canned fish.
Speaking at the event, Robert Kumi, founder and Chief Executive of the Foundation in an address stated that taking care of the children after the death of spouses is a daunting task. This he said makes widows feel marginalized especially in the Christmas festival season.
According to him, the development has resulted in many of the youth in the society being in prison because of improper parental training.
Beyond the donation, Mr. Kumi, disclosed that from next year, the foundation would organize health screening at regular times for the aged in the community.
So far, Elyasadh Foundation which is already a household name in the Ablekuma West Constituency currently sponsors 93 students in various educational institutions in the country.
Apostle Mike Sackeyfio, the Resident pastor of the Faith Evangelical Church at Shiabu urged the church to pray for the Foundation.
This he said was crucial in order to replenish the source of income for the donation. Hardworking staff of the foundation were also rewarded for their dedication and commitment to its course.
