On the sidelines of the CERA Week currently taking place in Houston, Texas, Ghana’s Minister for Energy, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh joined other ministers from sister countries to discuss COP27 to be hosted by Egypt from 7-18 November 2022.
This was at the invitation of Egypt’s Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources, Hon. Tarek El-Molla.
Apart from issues around COP27, the discussions were aimed at members having a common understanding and common alignment so far as actions relating to energy transition are concerned.
Ghana is already pushing the transition agenda as we are currently embarking on stakeholder engagements across the length and breadth of the nation
Dr. Opoku Prempeh has expressed confidence this will feed in positively to an envisaged National Energy Transition Plan for Ghana.
