Enforce Face Mask Law – Kennedy Agyapong
KENNEDY AGAYPONG, Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central, has expressed concern about the general non-compliance with the law that manes the wearing of face masks in all public places mandatory.
According to him, he has observed with sadness that some of the populace are disregarding government’s directive for the wearing of face mask as part of measures to prevent the spread of the deadly Covid-19.
Kennedy Agyapong, a very outspoken politician, has therefore charged government to strongly enforce the compulsory wearing of face mask directive, henceforth.
“I went to the Tema Station recently and I realized that the traders, especially the ladies, were not wearing the face masks as directed by government and that was very disheartening.
“They were just doing their business without paying attention to the wearing of face masks and other health protocols such as social distancing and the others”, he lamented.
According to Kennedy Agyapong, the government should quickly charge the security agencies to intensify operations for the citizenry to adhere to the face mask wearing regulations.
The Assin Central lawmaker said the deadly COVID-19 does not respect any person, irrespective of their social status in society, so the populace should take the virus serious.
“This virus doesn’t respect your status in society, whether you are politician or whatever, you can be infected by the deadly virus”, Kennedy Agyapong said, adding that the virus is real.
“This virus can kill you whether you are small or big, please take the COVID-19 precautions serious because the virus is deadly”, the NPP man pleaded with Ghanaians on radio.
Kennedy Agyapong particularly urged the people to always adhere to social distancing protocols and also wash their hands with soap and running water to stay safe from the virus.
