England captain Harry Kane has admitted that, the Three Lions of England are having fun in Russia after qualifying from their World Cup group.
A 2-1 victory over Tunisia was followed up by an emphatic 6-1 win over Panama on Sunday to send Gareth Southgate’s men through to the last 16.
And Kane, who scored a hat-trick during the Panama rout, told the media, the young squad are loving life right now.
When asked how it felt becoming England’s joint-second highest World Cup goal scorer, Kane also revealed he felt honoured to be amongst some of the greatest Englsih strikers in history.
“Yeah, not bad company,” he said.
“It’s a pretty proud moment, amazing performance from the team – it’s not often you get to enjoy a 5-0 lead at the World Cup.
We had fun out there, we worked hard, we played well so we’re enjoying it.” – he added.
