EOCO Boss Fires Up Newly Trained Military Capos

Executive Director of the Economic and Organised Crime Office(EOCO), COP Maame Yaa Tiwaa Addo-Danquah(Mrs) has urged newly-trained professional military officers to ensure that they are adequately prepared and fully understand what it takes to contain prevailing threats to peace and security in the country.

Speaking to graduates of the Junior Staff Course 81 of the Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College (GAFCSC) on Friday, June 14, 2024, as Guest Honour at their graduation ceremony, Mrs Addo-Danquah noted that the graduate must consistently strive to have a clear understanding of various threats to peace and security and how such threats can be tackled by applying the skills and knowledge they have acquired.

“As you are well aware, the world is saddled with several threats to peace and security. We have instability because of terrorism, ethnic and religious disputes, natural, environmental and human induced disasters such as the recent spillage and subsequent floods in some regions which had devastating effects on humanity.

With your current knowledge and skills gained, it is important that you constantly strive to arrive at a clearer understanding of what it takes to contain any of these threats, be it natural or man-made. I exhort you therefore as professional military officers to be ahead in your awareness and preparations at all times to be on top of challenges that you might encounter in your future endeavours,” Mrs Addo-Danquah advised the graduating the class.

She also advised them to be inquisitive and help others achieve their goals since they will serve in various leadership roles.

The Junior Staff received a 19-week professional training in various aspects of their work at the college.
