The Evangelical Presbyterian Church Shalom Parish Dansoman has successfully celebrated its 40th anniversary in grand style.
The church which was founded in 1982 has journey through four decades of fellowship and preaching the gospel of God.
The 40th anniversary was officially launched on the 14th August 2022 where members dressed in African wear to mark the day.
Other activities as part of the 40th anniversary celebration included clean up exercise at the church premises, 3 days revival themed “Revive As Again” ‘Tomorrow By This Time.
There was a Bible quiz among various groups in the church, a float and health walk.
The 40th anniversary was climaxed on Sunday 4 September 2022 with Thanksgiving Service and fund raising at the EPCG Shalom Parish Dansoman. It was chaired by Mr. Kennedy Adenyikor, Mr. Richard Edzeame and Mr. Oxygen Wullar, among others.
The Deputy Minister for Education was the guest of honor. This was after dedication of the new church bell by the Synod Moderate of the West Volta Presbytery Rev D.Y. Bruce who doubled as the preacher of the day on the theme BEARING THE COST OF DISCIPLESHIP.
Funds were raised by media personality Kafui Dey for constructing a new class room block for the EPCG Foundation Academy which belongs to the church.
The celebration saw a lot of attendees including Pastors from other sister EP churches and other denominations and sister churches.
The parish pastor Rev Samuel Nyonyoh, the members of the church were grateful for the Faithfulness of God through out the 40 year journey, anniversary planning and a successful event.
