CEO of Quophimens Music and former manager of musician eShun, Stephen Mensah aka StephenIson has admitted that, her managerial role with the ‘Someone Loves Me’ hit-maker has taught him a bitter lesson in life.
According to him, the past experience has made him more cautious in securing proper and written documented contracts with his current musician Naana Blu.
eShun had in an earlier interview accused Stephen Mensah of forcefully taking over her social media pages and demanding ¢120,000 to release them among other accusations.
Reacting to the accusations in an interview with Halifax Ansah-Addo on the ‘Best Entertainment Show’, Stephen Mensah said, proper documentation and signature of expenses are placed on board at the moment.
”The lessons I have learnt is that, sometimes when you are running things of this nature. Verbal agreement are equally agreements but I think that even when you have the documents, ensure that it is properly well documented and signed. It even helps in keeping tracks of expenditure. I have really learn to keep proper documents with musicians going forward.
”It is important to keep records of expenditure in everything you spend in such situations. Naana Blu project is going on well in terms of documentation and things, there’s someone on standby who records every spending. I’ve learnt lessons, and I believe it will help me to be more productive in future managements. Her [Naana Blu] project has just been six months and she’s everywhere, and it tells you that, lessons were learnt” he said.
On the issue of hacking the former Instagram account created by him for eShun to promote his newly signed artiste Naana Blu, he disagreed with those who think he is unprofessional.
”There are bills laid down in respect to that when we went to GHAMRO, when settlement is done, why not, I will give it out” he indicated.
