Manchester United will face Wolverhampton Wanderers in the quarter-final stage of the English FA Cup after edging out Chelsea 2-0.
Manchester United last night crashed out Sarri’s Chelsea in the fifth-round fixture at the Stamford Bridge kind courtesy two goals from Ander Herera and Paul Pogba.
Ander Herrera converted Paul Pogba’s perfect cross to give United a 31st-minute lead, and Pogba doubled the advantage right on half-time when he dived to head Marcus Rashford’s delivery past Kepa Arrizabalaga, who should have done better.
Manchester City, on the other hand, trashed Newport Country on Saturday to reach the quarter-final as the Citizens set date with Championship side Swansea City.
The quarter-final games will be played from 15-18 March, with winning clubs receiving £720,000 in prize money.
