Yesterday, Liverpool club unveiled Naby Keita as a Red, after both parties agreed future transfer all the way back in summer 2017.
Steven Gerrard travelled down from Glasgow to present Keita with the no.8, the shirt he wore so brilliantly throughout the majority of his Anfield tenure.
Keita is now officially the second biggest signing in the club’s history, behind Virgil van Dijk, who arrived for £75m in January.
The 23-year-old performed wonders at Rb Leipzig for two seasons, but now has far greater expectations at one of the biggest clubs in the world.
“We’ve been crying out for a player who possesses his tremendous skill-set for some time – and combined with the addition of Fabinho – our spine looks inherently stronger.”–Club manager Reveals.
Keita could now make his debut in ten days’ time on July 7, in a friendly against Chester.
