Fast-track completion of SOCO projects, others – Local Govt Minister urges contractors

The Minister of Local Government, Decentralization and Rural Development Hon Martin Adjei-Mensah Korsah has urged contractors working on various projects funded under the Gulf of Guinea Northern Regions Social Cohesion (SOCO) Project and the Ghana Secondary Cities Support Program (GSCSP) to Fast track their completion for the benefit of the people.

The Minister, while commending the contractors for the steady progress of work, called on them to hasten their completion to inure to the benefit of the beneficiary areas.

He made the call when he toured some project sites in the Northern Region and Upper East Region to ascertain the progress of work on the projects during a working visit.

He noted that the projects were key to the well-being of the residents and therefore enjoined the contractors to hasten their completion so that they could be put to use.

Some of the project sites toured by the Minister include the Zogbeli, Sagnerigu and Yendi in the Northern Region where he inspected work on the Sagnarigu Livestock Market, the Nanumba CHPS Compound, Sagnerigu Lockable Stores, the Zogbeli Astro Turf Park and the Yendi Lockable Stores.
