The possibility of an outbreak of a disease in Kumasi, the Ashanti Regional capital, looks very high.
This is because filth has taken over the city, thereby putting the lives of the residents of the city in great danger.
Checks by THE NEW PUBLISHER has revealed that most of the communities in the populous city looks dirty.
For instance, the Roman Hill area, one of the busiest trading areas in the city, is covered by total filth.
Sadly, poor traders, who doesn’t have any other alternative, are forced to trade in the dirty surroundings.
Checks by the paper also revealed that most of the areas in the city like Dr. Mensah and Bantama are looking dirty
Some of the people that the paper spoke to, lamented over how filth had rapidly taken over the entire city lately.
They lambasted the city authorities for looking on as dirt has gradually taken over the communities in the city.
The Kumasi residents therefore charged the city authorities to sit up and make sure that filth is removed from the city.
According to them, if the filth are left unattended to by the city authorities, a diseases could break out in Kumasi.
