FOUR CARS have been totally destroyed beyond repairs following a fierce fire outbreak at a warehouse in Kwadaso near Kumasi.
The affected vehicles included a Toyota RAV 4 2016 model, Kia Picanto, Opel Corsa and Escalade saloon car, THE NEW PUBLISHER has learnt.
Sources at the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) in Kumasi, the Ashanti Regional capital, confirmed the fire but on condition of anonymity.
According to them, they received a distressed call of a fierce fire outbreak at Kwadaso near Siloam Hospital in Kumasi on Saturday morning.
They also disclosed that when the firemen reached the fire scene, an inferno was burning a two-storey building, which also served as warehouse.
The fire men realized the intensity of the blaze so they called for more hands. In total, five fire tenders were called to the scene to fight the fire.
The firefighters did their utmost best to quench the fire within nine hours time period. But it was too late as the cars been been gutted already.
The personnel of the GNFS were still investigating to unearth what really cause the blaze when this report was being filed on Sunday afternoon.
