Fox FM Wins Prez’s Award
FOX FM, a leading private radio station with a huge credibility and following in Kumasi, capital of the Ashanti region, is the proud-recipient of the ‘President’s Special Award’ for the year 2017.
The top prize was given to the station following Fox FMs exemplary works, especially, in the radio industry over the past two decades.
A plaque to signify Fox FM as best in the radio sector was presented to the station during the 22nd Ghana Journalists Association (GJA) Awards.
Fox FM has been a household name in the radio arena in Kumasi, the Ashanti region and Ghana in general, during the past two decades.
The station has effectively carried out its core duties of informing, entertaining and educating its millions of listeners to perfection during this long period.
It was therefore not a surprise to connoisseurs in the radio industry when Fox FM beat every competition from other radio stations to pick the president’s award.
Peter Nana Akwasi Sarpong, the General Manager, Fox FM, stated that the station has sustained professionalism and ethics of the radio industry, so far.
According to him, the top prize awarded to Fox FM is a sign that the station’s extraordinary works, which has helped national growth, has been recognized.
Nana Akwasi Sarpong stated that the honour to the station would spur Fox FM on to work even harder so as to continue staying on top in the radio industry.
Fox FM, without doubt, is the most listened-to radio station in the Garden City as the station boasts of quality and experienced broadcasters.
Some of the key personalities at Fox FM include Loving Cee, Mmranteehene, Frankie Taylor, Oheneba Nana Asiedu, Kwaku Kyeremanten Nkansah, Rockson Adjei Yeboah and Poku Afriyie.
