Free Computers For Kumawu Schools
NINE SCHOOLS in the Kumawu District of the Ashanti Region have received free 105 desktop computers and 24 laptops.
The gesture is intended to help improve teaching and learning in the district in order to produce brilliant students.
The beneficiary schools are Besoro D/A Primary and Junior High School (JHS) and Besoro R/C Primary School.
Also benefiting from the free computers were Woraso D/A JHS, Woraso Presby JHS and Nkwanta AME Zion JHS, among others.
The computers were donated by Nana Oteng Ofori Kwagyan Acheampong III, Besoro Chief.
In his remarks, the Besoro Chief stated that quality education is key to a prosperous Ghana in future.
In this regard, he entreated the public to collaborate with government so that the youth, who are the future leaders, would be educated.
Nana Kwagyan Acheampong III said a German-based organization, Labdoo Organization, helped him to make the donation.
He assured that his positive gesture would not be a nine-day wonder, promising to do more to promote education in the area.
The Kumawu District Director of Education, Paul Antwi Oppong lauded the chief for his kind nature and urged others to emulate his shining example.
