The vice president of the Spanish giants has arrived in Ghana to conclude talks with Asante Kotoko for a club friendly.
Barcelona FC veep Jordi Cardoner i Casaus has touchdown in the West African country to complete talks with the officials of Asante Kotoko over their next year’s friendly.
Newly-appointed Asante Kotoko communication director, Sarfo Duku confirmed last week on Kessben FM that officials of his outfit are currently holding talks with the Barcelona vice president in Accra.
“I can say on authority that Executive Board Chairman Dr Kwame Kyei and CEO George Amoako are in a meeting with vice President of Barcelona in Accra,” Duku told Kessben FM
It was reported in the local media few days ago that an unnamed agency has lined up an international friendly in May 2019 between Asante Kotoko and the five-time UEFA Champions League winners.
The last time Asante Kotoko hosted an European club at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium was in 2016 against Serbian top-flight club Jagodina FK.
If everything goes on well, through talks and negotiations, an encounter of a friendly is bond to happen between Ghana side Kumasi Asante Kotoko and that of Spanish Club Barcelona.
