Frimpong Manso Applauds Free Education

Rev. Prof. Frimpong Manso, President of the Ghana Pentecostal and Charismatic Churches (GPCC), has hailed the introduction of the free Senior High School (SHS) policy.

Describing the policy as one of the best social intervention programmes ever introduced in the country, Prof. Frimpong Manso stated that the free SHS programme would help accelerate national development.

According to him, ignorance which usually occurs due to lack of education, would soon be a thing of the past as majority of the populace would be educated through the positive policy.

Rev. Prof. Frimpong Manso lauded President Nana Akufo-Addo for having the vision to introduce the free SHS policy, and stressed on the need for the citizenry to support the programme.

“This is a policy that will soon change the fortunes of this country as our human resource will be better educated to lead us into prosperity”, the top pastor said on Nhyira FM in Kumasi.

Rev. Prof. Frimpong Manso also blamed the country’s woes, especially, lack of infrastructural development, on consistent military coups, which he said stagnated Ghana’s development.

Without mincing words, he stated “the military coups did not help Ghana as it retarded our growth as a country. It contributed to the poverty and hardship in the country presently”.

Rev. Prof. Frimpong Manso also lauded President Nana Akufo-Addo for ordering a three week period of restricted movement in parts of the country, pointing out that the directive helped to contain the deadly COVID-19.

According to him, the ban of social gathering and mass religious activities by the government does not mean the President is against churches, stressing that the social distancing protocols is essential to defeat the virus.

“How can a president who is thriving hard to build a national cathedral for the country, could have an agenda against churches?” he asked, saying that the President should be supported.
