The Ghana Police Service has with immediate effect interdicted 14 out of the 46 officers who were repatriated from South Sudan for alleged sexual misconduct.
A police communique has ordered for the residences of the officers are to be searched to retrieve all items given to them by the Service including weapons, uniforms and other paraphernalia. According to the report, the said policemen engaged in “transactional sex” while on the mission.
They were initially suspended while investigations were being carried out on the matter. In a copy of Police Wireless Message sighted by this portal thepublsheronline.com, the full names of the police officers have been released by the Ghana Police Service.
Their interdiction, according to the document, takes place with immediate affect.
Some of the names mentioned as the affected police officers include: Sergeant Kennedy Agyei, DESUPOL Henry Ntikura Agyemang, Sergeant Richard Boahen Amponsah, Sergeant Paul Aikins and Sergeant Isaac Hagan, and Corporal Kingsley Etse Lotsu.
