With today to the climax of the inaugural ‘This Is New Africa’ (TINA) festival, organizers are stepping up efforts to ensure the much-anticipated music festival achieve its purpose.
The star-studded TINA festival, an initiative of UK-based Ghanaian Afrobeats artiste, Fuse ODG is expected to light up the Round Pavilion of the Ghana International Trade Fair Centre come Friday, January 4, 2019.
Artistes billed to perform at the event include Ghana’s award-winning rapper, Sarkodie, Joey B, one of Africa’s finest hiphop artiste, Stefflon Don, Lethal Bizzle and some underground artistes.
Host of the festival and Afrobeats pioneer, Fuse ODG will also dish out thrilling performances to excite patrons of the event.
Fans get the opportunity to engage in side attraction activities such as, Day Party, Concert, Marketplace, Open Mic and Best Dressed Kente/African wear Fashion competition.
Prior to the main event, a conference which was open to the public on free admission, was held on January 3, 2019 at the Accra International Conference Centre.
The New Africa Nation Conference saw discussions and talks led by top-notch leaders from the African continent, particularly those in the acts industry.
Award-winning Ghanaian British actress, television presenter and producer, Ama K Abebrese, Fuse ODG, Bola Ray, Samia Nkrumah, Sangu Delle, among others lead the discussion on how to achieve “Africa beyond aid and mobilize the sleeping giant of the Diaspora”.
The TINA festival seeks to reunite the African diaspora by creating a platform for Africans both home and abroad to come together under one umbrella and appreciate the uniqueness of Africa through music.
