Ganiyu Quits NPP Race and Backs Nana B
ABDUL GANIYU, one of the aspirants who picked forms to contest for the National Youth Organizer position in the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has quit the race.
Announcing the shocking decision in Kumasi, he said his decision to quit the race is personal but stressed that it would eventually benefit the party as a whole.
Ganiyu, who had toured the entire country recently to campaign, disclosed that he would back Henry Nana Boakye aka ‘Nana B’ as it had become clear during his tour that the party’s youth clearly wanted Nana B to lead them to victory in 2020.
“Nana B has worked hard for the NPP over the years and he has also dedicated himself to the service of this our great political party.
“Nana B is also competent, accommodative, a workaholic and a team player, who is the right person to fill the gap that Sammi Awuku’s exit would create”.
Speaking to newsmen in Kumasi, he said that he would very soon be visiting the three northern regions and the Volta region to campaign for Nana B.
