Gayism Worse Than Atomic Bomb – Bagbin
The Second Deputy Speaker of Parliament, and MP for Nadowli Kaleo, Alban Kingsford Bagbin, has reacted to calls made by the UK Prime Minister on homosexuality.
According to him, homosexuality is worse than an atomic bomb and should not be tolerated in the country.
In an interview on Okay FM yesterday, with Morning Show Host, Kwame Nkrumah Tikese, he said “This is worse than an atomic bomb. We should not allow it at all, and the President should be bold and courageous to come out and state that Ghana will not allow gayism and lesbianism to thrive in our country.”
The UK Prime Minister, Theresa May, is reported to have told President Akufo-Addo and other African leaders attending the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in London that her country is ready to help African countries to reform their laws to accommodate the interest of homosexuals.
According to her, it is wrong for homosexuals to be persecuted for their sexual orientation.
Reacting to her statement, the aspiring Presidential candidate of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has called on the President to be bold and reject calls made by the UK Prime Minister.
He believes President Akufo-Addo has not rightfully stated his stance on the issue.
“My love of the world knows no bound I want the world to continue to be in place as the Garden of Eden created by God. I want procreation to be everlasting so any other decision that will bring the world to an end. I will definitely not go with that decision.
“The issue about lesbianism and the rest, if that had been there, will those practicing it be created by now?” he quizzed.
