Ghana Comedy Awards set for April 20

Comedy Awards for this year has been scheduled to take place on April 20 at the SNAP CINEMA inside the A.M.A Head office in Accra.

Organisers of the event, the Creative Republic disclosed the date for the maiden edition of the awards after it was separated from its merger with Poetry, formerly called the Comedy and Poetry Awards. (CoPoAwards).

The award scheme is geared towards throwing more spotlight and celebrating the unique creativity of comedians in Ghana who put up immense efforts to entertain Ghanaians with their humoric talents.

Last month, nominees for various categories were unveiled which reflected the hard works and efforts of deserving comedians in the industry.

Voting officially ends on April 10 as it is very keen to one’s ability to win the prestigious award in addition to other factors like the Board and Academy reviews.

The time for the event is 6 pm for red carpet and cocktails and 8 pm for the main awards celebration.

Comedians like OB Amponsah, Lekzy De comic, Ebenezer Dwomoh, MJ the comedian and others will grace the humorous night.
