Ghana Football Not Dead – Nyantakyi
THE PRESIDENT of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kwasi Nyantakyi, has debunked claims that Ghana football has taken a nosedive.
Contrary to wild speculations, he has stated that Ghana football is on the rise and only those that don’t want to tell the truth would tell otherwise.
According to him, Ghana football has been managed properly by him and his executives, therefore it is never true that Ghana football is sinking.
Kwesi Nyantakyi stated that his pragmatic policies and programmes have helped to make Ghana football attractive to the outside world in recent times.
Touching on other issues, he debunked speculations that he is grooming Kurt Okraku, a football administrator, to take over from him as GFA president.
According to him, anybody that has the capacity to manage Ghana football to the Promised Land has the right to keenly contest for the enviable GFA position.
Kwesi Nyantakyi also described as false, reports that he and his vice, George Afriyie, are arch enemies, who doesn’t see eye-to-eye.
He admitted that there have been instances when he and Mr. Afriyie had misunderstandings but stated that they don’t have any bad blood between them.
