Artiste Manager, Ashes born Prince Nana Opoku says musicians in Ghana are afraid of investing in their craft.
According to him, their colleagues from Nigeria do not fear to invest in themselves and their craft.
But the same cannot be said about musicians in Ghana.
“When their colleagues from Nigeria come to town and they splash money on the DJs it’s an investment. The Ghanaian musicians should also do some. They should also go there and invest in their craft.
He continued “When you sit with a Ghanaian artiste and you provide him with a plan on how to enter other countries, he will not give you a listening ear. They are so okay with their terrain. We have good music in this country but the fear of the unknown is their problem”.
