The Ghana Football Association has announced that a new venue has been set for the Olympic Games qualifier between Ghana and Zambia.
Originally, Ghana was set to face Zambia’s Copper Queens at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Friday, February 23rd, but the match has been relocated to the Accra Sports Stadium.
This is because three sanctioned high-profile games cannot take place at the same match venue within three days. Medeama SC and Dreams FC will engage in two CAF inter-club games at the Baba Yara stadium on the weekend of February 23-25, 2024.
On Friday, February 23, 2024, Medeama SC is scheduled to face Al Ahly in the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League, taking place at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
Following that, on Sunday, February 25, Dreams FC will host Club Africain at the same venue.
Additionally, the Black Queens are set to host the first leg of the third-round qualifier in Accra after successfully progressing through previous rounds by defeating Guinea and Benin in the qualifying series.
The game is scheduled for 5:00 pm kick-off at the Accra Sports Stadium.
