The Ghana Police Service refuted claims of arresting Albert Nat Hyde, known on Twitter as BongoIdeas.
Following social media allegations that the Twitter influencer has being been arrested by the police, the Service clarified that their investigations revealed he was at his residence.
In a statement dated March 15, the Police asserted they hadn’t apprehended BongoIdeas. They further stated that contact with a relative confirmed his presence at home, as mentioned in a Facebook post.
“The attention of the Ghana Police Service has been drawn to Social Media reports that one. BongoIdeas has been arrested by the Police. The Ghana Police Service has not arrested the said individual,” a statement dated March 15 indicated.
“The Police has contacted a relative who has confirmed that BongoIdeas is at home” the post of Facebook added.
