The Ghana Tourism Authority (GTA) in partnership with Africa Tourism Partners, South Africa will host a two day leadership forum and award at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) from 30th to 31st August, 2018.
The Leadership Forum which is first of its kind is being organized by the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture under the theme “Inspiring Pan-Africa Sustainable Travel and Tourism Development through Innovative Leadership.”
The forum is a Pan-Africa dialogue platform that brings together key stakeholders from Africa’s travel, tourism, hospitality and aviation sectors to network, share ideas and enhance branding Africa’s equity.
The forum aims at providing a platform for innovative leadership dialogue to drive sustainable growth in Africa’s tourism economy, to exchange ideas and network amongst stakeholders from the continent.
It intends to give new drive to young people who aspire to pursue entrepreneurship in tourism.
The event will feature prominent people like Madam Catherine Afeku, Minister of Tourism; Jacinta Nzioka, Director of Marketing; Dr. Kobby Mensah, Lecturer, University of Ghana Business School among others.
The inaugural Africa Travel and Tourism Leadership awards is also aimed at recognizing game –changing individual and groups initiatives.
The award categories includes; Outstanding Entrepreneur Award, Women in Leadership Award, Outstanding Business Tourism Destination Award, Outstanding Africa Tourism Media Award among others.
