Ghanaian Elected to The US National Grants Management Board
A Ghanaian Certified Grants Management Specialist, Benjamin Kofi Quansah, has been elected to the Board of the US-based National Grants Management Association (NGMA) as its first international Board of Director since the NGMA was formed in 1978.
The National Grants Management Association is recognized throughout the grants management industry as a membership association leader providing tools and resources for grants professionals to support and maintain high levels of grants management competency and to establish standards for excellence for grants professionals.
Mr. Quansah’s expertise is in Full lifecycle Grants Management- from pre-award, award, post-award, monitoring, to grant close-out.
He has over a decade experience in full life cycle grants management, having managed funds provided by international funding agencies such as the UK Department for International Development (DFID), United States Agency for International Department (USAID), and the European Union (EU), among others.
His work as a grants management specialist includes reviewing the grant management system, undertaking participatory capacity assessment and developing strategies to address capacity gaps of grantees, developing grants management manual to guide NGOs in managing donor funds, performance assessment of Grantees, setting up platforms for peer support, among others.
