Ghanaian forward Hans Kwofie kidnapped in Tanzania

Ghanaian forward Hans Kwofie has been kidnapped in Tanzania, according to the club, Singida United F.C.

Hans Kwofie, formerly of Medeama SC, joined Singida United F.C. a few months ago after his contract was mutually terminated by Egyptian side Smouha SC.

The Tanzanian club, Singida United F.C. announced on their Twitter page regarding the disappearance of the Ghanaian forward.

“Our player Hans Kwofie from Ghana has been kidnapped,” the club wrote on their official twitter account.

The kidnapping comes just a few days to the beginning of the Tanzanian 2018/19 season in which Kwofie had been named in the club’s squad ahead of the campaign.

Hans Kwofie took the Ghana Premier League by storm last season after finishing as the top scorer for the season with 18 goals.

He managed to secure a move to Egyptian side Smouha SC before terminating his contacts to join Singida United FC ahead of the new season.
