Ghanaians will never bring back NDC no matter Amidu’s accusation – Gabby
A leading member of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Gabby Asare Otchere Darko says the good people of Ghana will not bring back the NDC no matter how the Special Prosecutor, Martin Amidu has accused the Akufo-Addo administration of negotiating on corruption matters with its appointees.
According to him, the people of Ghana are aware of the fact that the alternative is scary so will vote to maintain the NPP in power regardless.
His comments comes on the back of Martin Amidu’s resignation and the subsequent blame of the President’s interference in his independent duties as a Special Prosecutor.
He said in a post sighted on Facebook that “The Good Lord and the good people of Ghana (which means the vast majority) know the good works of Akufo-Addo for Ghana and the threat the alternative poses and will vote accordingly. This too shall pass”.
Martin Amidu, on Monday, November 16, 2020, served notice of his resignation from office with immediate effect.
In a letter addressed to President Nana Akufo-Addo, Martin Amidu said his resignation had been occasioned by the President’s inability to ensure his independence and freedom of work.
