Ghanaian swimmer Abeiku Jackson has made it to the final of the Men’s 100m Butterfly event at the 2023 African Games, offering Ghana a strong chance for another medal.
Leading the Ghana National Swimming Team, Jackson showed his skill by finishing first in heat 3 with an impressive time of 54.17 seconds, the best across all heats.
This accomplishment follows his silver medal win in the Men’s 50m Freestyle event at the Borteyman Sports Complex’s Aquatic Centre.
Ghana has already secured four medals, including Jackson’s silver, sparking hope for more successes.
This adds to weightlifter Winnifred Ntumi’s earlier achievements, who secured Ghana’s first three medals, including a gold.
As anticipation builds for the Men’s 100m Butterfly final at 17:30 GMT, Ghana is optimistic about expanding its medal count at the 13th African Games.
