Ghana’s Cedi Is in Crisis – Allotey Jacobs

Talk of one humorous person within the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and the party’s Central Regional Chairman , Allotey Jacobs would easily be mentioned.

The Central Regional Chairman of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has described the cedi as ‘mentally deranged’.

According to Bernard Allotey Jacobs, the Akufo-Addo led administration is doing nothing meaningful to improve on betterment of the cedi making it lose its value across the world market,making businesses collapse.

“Ghana’s cedi is mad and needs to be checked at the ‘hospital’ because the depreciation of the cedi is really crippling businesses in the country,” he said on Adom TV’s Morning Show “Badwam” on Tuesday.

Allotey Jacobs said the economy has grown from bad to worse thus charged government to urgently arrest the rapid depreciation of the cedi to make the campaign for businesses workable.

Conceding that Ghana’s economy is in crisis, the NDC man called for a non-partisan approach to save the economy from collapse.

According to Allotey Jacobs, it is incumbent on Ghanaians to rise up in 2020 and help the NDC rebuild a country.
