Ghana’s COVID-19 case count getting worse – Nana Addo

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has asked Ghanaians to adhere to all measures to help combat the spread of the novel COVID-19 because the situation is getting worse.

In his 23 update, the President noted that daily infections have increased to 700 with many more people having lost their lives, warning that Ghanaians must be more rigorous with the observation of the protocols against the spread of the virus.

Many had expected that a lockdown and the closure of schools will be announced but the President reinforced, among others, the closure of bars, night clubs and the performance of funerals with high numbers of people.

“To this end, I appealed to you, my fellow Ghanaians, to help contain the spread of the virus by respecting the protocols Government had put in place. The hope was that we would begin to see an improvement in our case count, as a result. Two weeks on from that address, the situation is even worse” he said.
