Give Kwesi Appiah another chance – Awudu Issaka
Former Black Starlet attacker, Awudu Issaka, has said that Kwesi Appiah should be given the support to continue his role as head coach of the Black Stars.
His comments comes after calls by some section of the public for Kwesi Appiah to step down. Awudu Issaka believes believes the Ghana gaffer can turn things out around when he is retained.
Speaking to Saddick Adams on Atinka total sports, Awudu Issaka said, “Ghanaians are not happy about the coach and wants him gone, because he failed, but at the end of the day he is our own man, and if you look at the new proposal (Code of conduct) that will regulate the players behavior, it means he has learned from his mistakes, let forgive and give him another chance.”
The future of Coach Kwesi Appiah is still not clear, after over a month of Ghana’s elimination from the AFCON19.
He went onto say that Ghana still has a chance of winning the Afcon title which has eluded the country for 37 years.
The Stars failed to end that quest in this year’s tournament as they exited the Round of 16 stage.
Kwesi Appiah has since come under a lot of criticisms. However, other reports suggest he may keep his position as face to lead the technical directorate of the Senior National team.
