GJA Mourns Atinka Media Village News Editor
The Ghana Journalist Association (GJA), led by Mr Roland Affail Monney has described the sudden demise of Mr Sasu of Atinka Media Village as shock and sudden.
Speaking to the management and staff of Atinka Media Village, GJA President, Roland Affail Monney stated that the death of Francis Sasu, affectionately called F.S is a big blow into the media landscape.
Mr. Affail Monney described F.S, who was his colleague at the Ghana Broadcasting Corporations (GBC), as a man who has served the Ghanaian media for about four decades. He noted that F.S has among others groomed many of the new generation journalists in the country.
According to him, Mr Sasu was very dedicated, committed, diligent to his duty apart from being respectful to persons, irrespective of their age, rank race or any other inclination.
“It is for these reasons that the GJA finds the death family especially the wife and children of our fallen brother, and Management and staff of Atinka Media Village”, he said.
He noted that F.S was that colleague who was always ready to offer help whenever he was called on adding that, Ghana has lost a legend.
The Veteran journalist and Head of News of Atinka Media Village, Francis Sasu, affectionately called FS, passed on Wednesday, 21st November 2018.
Mr. Sasu, whose journalism career spanned over four decades, died at his residence at Amasaman on Wednesday afternoon hours after visiting the hospital for a checkup.
