GNA Receives First of 52 Pledged Security Safes from Krif Ghana
Krif Ghana Limited, a leading dealer in quality stationery and office equipment, has once again waded into waters ‘unswum’ and walked on paths ‘untrodden’ as it presented the first of 52 free security safes to the Ghana News Agency (GNA).
GNA is the first recipient of a Diplomat Reinforced Cabinet (ROC) which has been built according to German construction and further provides protection against fires and thefts.
On August 30, 2018, Krif had pledged to give out to well deserving public and private institutions in Ghana, 52 Diplomat safes for free.
This according to them, was part of the company’s enhanced Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Project for the year as well as an exemplary initiative to support of the work of deserving Institutions.
Speaking at the donation exercise held in Accra, on Monday, the Executive Director of Krif Ghana Ltd, Mrs. Susan Awura Adjoa Okosun assured that her company will meet the target it has set for itself to deliver the safes to lucky institutions.
“We are all beneficiaries of the services of these institutions and offices one time or the other. Our drive is to serve one piece Fireproof/burglar proof safe to government and quasi government offices like Ghana News Agency that have need to keep documents securely, safely for as long as required,” she said.
On why the GNA was the first recipient, Mrs. Okosun said Krif is convinced that real partnership with the media “serves as a catalyst that triggers the rapid development of a country and ensures the well-being of its population.”
The Acting General Manager of the Ghana News Agency, Kwaku Osei-Bonsu, who received the donation on behalf of the institution, expressed the appreciation to the leadership of Krif Ghana for their unprecedented donation.
“This marks the beginning of a long-lasting partnership between the Ghana News Agency and Krif Ghana Ltd. We assure you of our institution’s cooperation in the years ahead.” He said.
The safe
The Diplomat safe donated to the GNA has double wall construction insulated with fire-resistant glass fibre. It also has adjustable interior fittings, shelf for file hanger, pull-out shelf, pull out drawer and pull-out file hanger.
The estimated market value of the double-door safe that weighs 190 Kg without accessories and 220 Kg with accessories is pegged at GH¢13,000.
For the next 51 weeks, Krif Ghana will give out safes which cost between GH₵500 to GH₵65,000 to a lucky organisation.
The size of the safe however would be dependent on the magnitude of work done by the institution.
