GOD SENT NDC INTO OPPOSITION TO EXPOSE NPP

FORMER PRESIDENT John Dramani Mahama has disclosed that God actually allowed his 2016 electoral defeat to prove a point to Ghanaians.

He said the New Patriotic Party (NPP) peddled blatant lies and gave false promises, that they would turn the fortunes of the country around within eighteen months.

According to him, the NPP were aware that their juicy promises to the electorates were unattainable, yet they gave the false hope to the people to win votes.

He said the NPP made Ghanaians to believe that he (Mahama) was not a good leader, even though they knew that “I was a good leader”. The former president noted that God, therefore, allowed his electoral defeat in 2016 to happen “so that the lies of the NPP will be exposed”.

He said almost two years into political office, the NPP are struggling to fulfill their numerous promises.

“The NPP said petrol at GH¢14 was expensive and now petrol is being sold at GH¢24 and the One District One Factory promise has turned out to be a hoax”.

Mr. Mahama, who made the scathing attack on the NPP during his recent tour of the Ashanti region, noted that the NPP are fumbling freely, and pleaded that the NDC should be given another chance in 2020 to fix Ghana’s woes.
