Goosie Tanoh Joins NDC 2020 Race
Goosie Tanoh, a leading member of the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), has joined the NDC flag bearer race, promising a renewed hope for the party’s rank and file and Ghanaians alike.
The entry of Mr Tanoh, a former aide of former President Jerry John Rawlings during the PNDC days, adds up to the growing list of people who have declared their intent to vie for the 2020 Presidential race.
Mr Tanoh who submitted his letter of intent to the party at its headquarters in Adabraka, Accra, on Thursday, 30 August 2018 will be competiting against the likes of former Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), Sylvester Mensah; Mr Ekwow Spio-Garbah, a former Trade and Industry Minister; former Vice-Chancellor of the University for Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), Prof. Joshua Alabi; Cape Coast South MP, Kweku Ricketts-Hagan; private legal practitioner Elikplim Agbemava, handyman Stephen Atubiga and ex-president John Dramani Mahama.
In a video and audio recording to supporters, Mr Tanoh who once contested as Presidential candidate of the National Reform Party after breaking ranks with the NDC in 2000, promised to awaken and revitalise the party to achieve the nation’s dream of economic prosperity.
