Governs Kwame Agbodza to head Roads and Highways Ministry

President John Dramani Mahama has announced a new slate of ministerial nominees as part of his vision to governing the people of Ghana for accountability and progress. 

Among the key appointment, Governs Kwame Agbodza has been nominated to head the Roads and Highways Ministry, a sector critical to infrastructure development and national connectivity.

He is expected to be vetted by Parliamentary Vetting Committee in the coming days.

As a Ghanaian architect and politician, Hon. Agbodza brings his extensive experience in architectural design and project management to the role.

He is chartered architect, he earned his qualifications from KNUST, Westminster University, and East London University. As Principal Consultant at Kay + Partners Ltd., he has managed major projects in healthcare, education, and residential development across Ghana and the UK. Since 2013, he has been the Member of Parliament for Adaklu, rising through parliamentary ranks as Deputy Ranking Member, Ranking Member, Minority Chief Whip, and now Majority Chief Whip of the 9th Parliament. He is a member of the Royal Institute of British Architects and the Ghana Institute of Architects.

About Agbodza

Agbodza was born on 22 September 1973 at Adaklu Kordiabe in the Volta region of Ghana. He then had his postgraduate Diploma in architecture at University of Westminster, proceeded to have his Diploma in architecture at university of East London. He then returned to Ghana to have his Bachelor of Science degree in architecture at Kwame Nkrumah University of science and technology .

He attended Royal institute of British Architects to attain his chartered architecture certificate and also got another chartered architecture certificate from Ghana institute of Architect.

Agbodza is managing director of southworld technical services from 1999 to date, he is the chief executive officer at Architects Co partners from 2010 to date and also chief executive officer at kay and partners from 2012 to date.

He is a Christian and married with two children.
