The government of Ghana through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration has extended the validity of the ordinary Ghana passport from 5 to 10 years.
According to the Ministry, the directive takes effect from March 31, 2019.
In a memo to all Ghana’s missions, the ministry said: “The government has decided to extend the validity of ordinary passport booklets issued to qualified Ghanaian applicants from five to ten years with effect from 31 March 2019”.
Meanwhile, the cost of processing passports in Ghana still remains GHc 50 and GHc100 for regular and express services respectively.
